Formed in Sacramento, California, USA, Oleander is a post-grunge band that takes its name from the poisonous wildflower oleander, which is commonly found along the highways of Northern California.

After releasing and promoting their fourth album, Joyride, in 2004, Oleander went on official hiatus. However, the band reunited in 2008 and is currently working on new material for a forthcoming album.
