Este american quartet from Seattle emerged under the influence of iconic bands like Led Zeppelin, Stooges, and Velvet Underground, as well as early British and US punk groups. Their appearance gave birth to a radically new rock 'n' roll.

The band consisted of Chris Cornell (born July 20, 1964, in Seattle, USA; vocals, guitar), Kim Thayil (born September 4, 1960, in Seattle, USA; guitar), Hiro Yamamoto (born April 13, 1961, in Okinawa, Japan; bass), and Matt Cameron.
